    Hi,
Can anyone give me simple driving directions to the GAA grounds in Limerick coming from the Portlaoise direction. Trying to avoid the city and is there lots of parking?
    Many thanks.

Follow the motorway for Shannon/Ennis/Galway, get off at the first exit after the tunnel, it's Caherdavin I think and I believe the Gaelic Grounds are also on the exit sign.
If you get to the toll both you have gone to far.

There is a toll booth after you get off the Caherdavin exit also so if you reach this toll booth you're going in the right direction!

Good point, make sure you don't get to the toll both on the motorway.

Haven't been in the Gaelic Grounds for a few years, any locals recommend safe (legal) parking within close walking distance? Don't mind having to pay-within reason. Thanks!

A lot of people park in Dunnes which is less than a 5 mins walk. But if there's a big crowd, could be a nightmare trying to get out.

Others park in the Ardhu, although you'd probably be expected to buy food/drink. Again, depending on crowd size, could be difficult to get out.

The car park in front of Showtime/Woody's tend not to allow people park there on matchdays. But outside of that, you're looking at dumping your car somewhere along the road and hoping for the best.

Tbh, parking in town and walking in wouldn't be a terrible option. But if you want to park close, get into the Dunnes car park early and park near the exit.

Thanks a mill, will try Dunnes-I have an elderly passenger so town isn't really an option.

Straight out the Ennis road from limerick and the Gaelic Grounds are on the right, should be able to park oalong the roadside there within about 10 mins walk.
