"Bootmgr image is corrupt" message on fresh install on Agility 4

    My current system uses an OCZ Vertez 2 SSD 60GB as the OS drive but this suddenly wouldn't boot up.

    So I swapped in a fresh Agility 4 SSD 128GB which had been unused since I'd received it back after an RMA and did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit on it.

    The install process seems to go correctly and the PC even booted. However, on reboot the follow

    "Bootmgr image is corrupt. The system cannot start."

    I tried the following:

    * Removing all other drives
    * Trying different SATA ports
    * Trying different SATA cables
    * Formatting the SSD
    * Clearing the CMOS
    * Multiple attempts at installing the OS

    Any ideas or do I have _2_ SSDs with an issue?

    Regards,

    P.

    Have you tried updating the firmware on the drives?

    The ocz drives from that gen had that problem although the agility 4 should not have had the same issue but it's worth a try.

    Thanks for that. The Agility 4 was originally on firmware 1.4.1, so I updated it to 1.5.2 and then restored a cloned copy of the V2 to it. Now boots and seems to be fine. Fingers crossed.
