06 passat handbrake

    Handbrake on passat won't release an bringing on warning on dash. Tried fuses, all ok. Disconnected battery an left stand for an hour. New button fitted. Still the same. Checked for voltage at motors, not gettin any. Git a loan of computer an showing an showing an "erratic voltage" to both sides. Anybody any ideas in where to go from here??? Went lookin fir the handbrake module but can't find

    Going to make sure id continuity between there and the motors, check for power to the module

    EPB module is underneath the centre console close to rear ashtray.

    common problem you need vag programme or similiar to wind them back and reset
