    Hi Lads.

I've been thinking of rejoining a gym as my attempts with my home equipment (dumb bells and a bench) have resulted in less than stellar results. I live in Artane so I used to use the Total Fitness gym beside Clare Hall Shopping Center before it closed down. I'm not sure where else I might go.

The closest gym to me is the Westwood gym in Fairview Park but it's a bit pricey. There's also a TRX studio in Fairview but I'm looking for a more traditional gym so I'm not too sure about that either. There's also a gym in Raheny but it's a women's gym, from what I can see.

Does anyone else know of any other gyms in the area?

    Thanks

There's a gym in Coolock Industrial Estate, called Coolock Training Unit. I've never been in it myself but have heard good things.

    There phone number is 085 242 6688.

On top of the 2 mentioned previously there's also a Ben Dunne gym up in Northwood, HP Gym in Santry stadium and a small place down in Baldoyle industrial estate called the muscle factory.

MF is bigger free weights than kilbarack, 5 free benches, more dumbbells, 4 bench press benches etc, free weights area is 3 x bigger than kilbarack and strict rules apply, eg no towel = no workout, not putting back weight on the rack = go somewhere else... they way it should be
