Hi guys, I was hoping someone could shed some light on this issue I have.
I was recently accepted on the BTWEA scheme. The payment was transferred into my account yesterday minus €110. Now at no stage was I informed that there would be a lost in payment. My JCA rate for me and to dependents is €327 and I received a letter confirming that this amount (€327) would be lodged into my account. When I contacted the SP they waffled on about the JCA payment being Wed -Tue and the BTWEA payment being Mon-Sat. They were still not able to clarify where the €110 has gone to.

Has anybody had hassle with the change.

There is a change over period from JA to BTW, as you have stated the week for JA runs Wednesday to Tuesday and the BTW week is Monday to Saturday.

Based on your figures you would have received €327 on 13th August which paid you until 13th August. Then the BTW kicked in from 12th - 17th and you were paid €54.50 per day for 4 days being €218 as the JA claim paid you for the 12th & 13th. Your next payment on the 26th August will be for the full €327. You have not lost any days and have been paid for each day, it is the change in the set up of the weeks from one claim type to the other that has caught you this week.

    I hope this helps.
