Hi Folks, I was just browsing the runireland website and came accross this 6k/10k race being held in Ashbourne on Sunday (August 25th). A nice race and enjoyed the winding country roads. Two issues;
1) marshals need to give directions at junctions, ended up over-shooting a number of turns
2) 10k course was a 1/4 mile short. 5.99m recorded on the watch rather then the 6.21. Tree cover wasn't an issue but even allowing for some problems it would never have added up to such a difference. Other runners had the same total. Hugely disappointing when you think you are on for a good time. Didn't accurately measure the 6k course but it seemed to be closer to 5.5k.
