As per title I saw Christmas Tree today in a cash n carry chain with lights on and everything.I asked the staff if it was a prank that it was up so early but they said it wasn't a prank.
Felt a bit disgusted to be honest,Christmas seems to have a longer run in each year.December 1st is the right time for us to put trees up and start shopping ect!!must be part of the recession, maybe Christmas is the only time of the year everyone spends a bit and companies need to extend the Christmas season.
Any one else see one this early?

A week before Christmas is time enough to put up a Christmas tree.

We put a 13-14 foot tall real Christmas tree up outside the house every year.

Usually goes up around the last few days of November/1st few days of Decenmber.
500 warm white LED christmas tree lights on and a large silver star on the top.

We do it simply to bring a smile to everyones face and some festive cheer to everyone and to the kids too.

Dunno about that, but Harrods in London started selling Christmas stuff in June this year. They have a whole area set up already and are currently getting 'Santas Grotto' ready for September. I hope it burns to the ground

    Well, Merry Christmas

The bloody moaning about christmas starts earlier every year.

What difference does it make if shops sell christmas trees all year round?

Bloody private businesses making decisions about how they run themselves, the cheek of them.

3 weeks ago in Tempe, Arizona. A giant billboard was put up for Santas Workshop in Flagstaff, Arizona. Pretty unbelivable.

I saw one with Easter eggs hanging off it!!!!!!

I once saw Jesus on a crucifix with tinsel and lights hanging off it. So much more Interetesting than a Christmas tree! I think I'll do it in December!

I think it's crazy too! I've seen Halloween stuff too which , I love. I like the holidays but they are too commercialized.

You felt "disgusted" by a Christmas tree.

At least your reaction is balanced and proportionate to the situation.

    Burn it down

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I wouldn't be too worried since it's a cash and carry. Retailers, especially supermarkets, have to order their Christmas stock months in advance so they'd be preparing for that.

This has been happening since I was born; you'd see the first signs of Christmas months before the day itself, usually around the start of September. I don't get why it still shocks people. It's like when people start exclaiming with genuine surprise how long/short the evening are getting. It happens at the same time every year, without fail, yet as sure as death and taxes it blows people away, many of whom have been on the earth twice as long as me.

    I dunno like.

Having your Christmas tree up when it comes time to put up the Halloween decorations is a bit wrong in fairness.

Only took my Christmas tree down two weeks ago, and that was because I moved!

My garden was begining to resemble a Christmas tree cemetery and I thought that was bad, but you freely admitting to allow one to decompose for months in your sitting room makes me feel better.

It was artificial! I even put the lights on some evenings :o

Next you're going to be telling me that you have "I wish it could be Christmas everyday" playing in the background :P

Who buys christmas trees?!? If you hold back till the first week of January, you can get one free! Some people even leave bits of tinsel on them! Turkeys are cheaper in January too, and if you've copies of The Godfather and Die Hard on DVD, you can set a whole weekend aside. I like the second weekend in January for christmas. Bugger all else goes on that week.

Don't forget to burn it down.. you could easily short out a rechargeable Baby Jesus Crib battery.
