Hey I was wondering if someone can give me a heads up.

I am currently on a Job-Bridge, which is due to end on Dec 27th (9 months will be up then)

Im assuming i will actually be finishing on the 20th as thats when they close for Christmas.

Does my claim automatically go back onto the remainder of my stamps, or how does it work, I have a baby to feed and dont want to be left high and dry over xmas.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

P.S. it IS possible that they will offer me a job, if that is the case what do I do?

I say take it if they offer you a job if you happy with the job but no guarantee they keep you on. It's a jobbridge after all the company can decide who they hire and keep on.

Ya I'd imagine it finish on the last working day which be Christmas Eve before Christmas but you may have to work on 27th since it before the new year. It be what ever day they close for Christmas but depending on days/months allotted to placement will determine when you finish did they no state a date to finish most contacts do that?! Find out before hand unless you like to go for other jobs in the company or try somewhere else.

yeah my contract says 27th Dec, but she said i will be finishing when they close for xmas. she thinks 20th or 23rd.

So the day i finish do i just go into the social welfare office and tell them, and my JSB will kick in automatically, or do I have to do a new claim all over again

Well presumably you can still get paid until the 27th

You probably have to open a new claim

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You wont have to open a new claim. You currently have a jobseekers claim with an internship category on it. SW office should have the letter with you claim stating the date you finish so your payment should revert to post office and less €50 top up for internship.
