They couldn't of ended that episode on a more anticipated note...

These week long waits are killing me...

opposite of last week, they decided to end on a cliffhanger! dull enough episode but probably needed it to keep things ticking over story wise

"We are here to do a job, not channel Scrooge McDuck."
    Love Bill Burr.

Don't know why people found it dull.
Initially it looked like it was going to be all crazy and explosive, with Walt rushing off in the car, the frantic phonecalls etc. But then Hank hits a wall with Skyler (really well done scene), and we start to see it all playing out in a different kind of way; much more deliberate, much more intelligent.

I also like how between Hank, Skyler, Marie and Walt, it's Walt who looks the most desperate and least in control.

What a cliffhanger to end it on. The week of waiting is gonna be hell!

Dean Norris was outstanding throughout that episode!

yes he was. he's really become a big star of the show for me. If after the first season, anyone had predicted i'd be saying that about him i'd have laughed in their face.

I've been hoping for an age that walt would get whats coming to him, and that jesse, one way or the other would get his revenge for all walt has done to him. Now, granted, i was thinking more hot pokers and shooting him in the face, but if jesse does speak up, and smashes walts life to bits in the process, i can take that. Might actually prefer it as poor jesse doesn't seem keen on the shooting folks in the face thing.

Very boring episode but on the plus side at least that b***h skyler got a slap

Did anyone find the scene with Jesse going around the merry-go-round interesting? Reminded me of a single bullet in a six shooter...

In case anyone cares but is too lazy to look it up, the GPS coordinates are to the entrance to the ABQ Film Studios.

WTF, the cartel got whacked. I dont know what to think about this. Perfect excuse for setting up the 'whackers' and maybe make Jesse be perceived as Heisenberg? Hank cant tell anyone without proof, and seems the money is the proof. Maybe he will set Jesse up for the fall and let his 'family' leave town after Hank sends Walt to Belize.

At least we now know who Walt needs the M60 for - Todd's uncle and his Aryan Brotherhood crew...

Not as good as last weeks but then that was probably asking too much. So many possibilities as to the direction of the series it's impossible to predict.

Thought Skyler and Hank in the restaurant was a great scene.

The cliffhanger... Knew it was coming but that didnt soften the blow in any way!

who was it that walt got to kill all the people in prison?

was it through todd's uncle? seems they are even bigger threat then fring

Todd's uncle and his gang, same lads who killed Declan's crew today

    Wow, I loved it.

Kinda interesting to see Skyler suggesting they keep quiet, also we really see where Walt's priorities lie when Saul suggests killing Hank.

What is up with that remote control car??? ...it's going to get run over again eventually.

Loved Jessie's scene at the beginning too, thankfully they didn't drag it out and (Episode 11 Spoiler)
hopefully he should return to normal next week

I hope when Dean said there would be a "chilling scene involving Holly" he didn't mean this one. It was great, but hardly chilling.

I kinda changed my mind about Skyler too, I was on the bench before, but that was some excellent acting on her part.

Really don't know why people we so disappointed? I thought it was a great episode tbh,

Did anyone else notice in the scene with Hank and Skyler in the diner you could hear Walts car flying by?

Enjoyed that. Had an awful feeling the old man was gonna discover Jesse dead at the start though!

Agreed. They're really ramping up the story in a big way. Hank, probably only about 2 minutes after being threatened by Walt and knowing what Walt has done, goes for the jugular by contacting Skyler. Marie now knows about the whole thing too. Skyler convincing Walt not to turn himself in and now knows his cancer is back. Lydia joining up with Todd and his uncle who pulled off the prison murders. And ending with the ultimate tease of Hank facing off against Jesse.

Last weeks episode was great largely due to the Walt/Hank confrontation, but I think overall this episode had a lot more in it and was more exciting overall.

I have no concept of time when watching this show.I was fully convinced there was about ten minutes left when Hank went into Jesse.

I thought this was a grest episode. Those people who thought it was dull and boring , well, I have no words really. Lads this is what Breaking Bad is and has been since Season 4. I'm really not sure what ye want from the show.

My only issue with the show at present is that I'm not sure Vince Gilligan knows whatq to do with Jesse. The storyline with the money seemed to be contrived simply to get him face to face with Hank and I'm not sure it worked. We've already seen Jesse break down once on the show and I'm not sure we needed to revisit that. By all means show how this whole thing is affecting him but I'm not buying how stupid and careless he would be.

Absolutely loved how Hank (understandably) underestimated and completely misread Skylar. Thought that scene was set up brilliantly.

Nah, not a great episode in my opinion. Some fine acting, I'll grant you that but very few wow moments

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,133 ✭✭✭FloatingVoter

So we now have the Aryan Brotherhood in the meth business. I loved little miss twinkletoes being walked out of the carnage. Bless her, butter wouldn't melt.
We'll see how fried Jesse's brain is next week if it becomes apparent to him how much Hank knows. And doesn't know. I'd imagine Hank still sees Jesse as a light-fingered junior assistant to Walt - not a former partner.
Saul is not amused at the thoughts of going to Belize - I'd imagine he has an "in the event of my untimely passing" vault somewhere waiting to be opened.

Why does there have to be a 'wow' moment in every episode?

Surely an over abundance of 'wow' moments would dilute their impact, no?

Yes - kinda mirrors his dealings with Walt really. Just as he couldn't even conceive of Walt's involvement in the drugs trade, he's making the same mistake with Skyler now. Even now, it seems he thinks that her reluctance to talk to him is due to her being scared of Walt, rather than her being a willing accomplice to the whole shebang.

2 highlights for me were Huell enjoying a nice bed, and the DEA agent with facial hair Genghis Khan would be proud of!

Did they recast the cartel guy that Walt passed on the business to? He seemed to look different.

Laura Fraser does a great job on this show. Lydia is the most dangerous and ruthless character of all and so easy to under-estimate.

the guy walt passed the business on to isn't part of the cartel, he's just some american gang leader whose gang is involved in meth production. nothing to do with anything south of the border

No, same guy. Bit more of a beard on him was the only thing I noticed, but other than that, same actor. As Sir Digby said though, he wasn't Cartel. He just took over a lot of Gus' territory when Gus died.

Yeah, shows Walt still has a sense of humour - getting two lads to move 50 million plus at short notice without a few quid going missing would be miraculous.

Yeah especially with the "He had 10 guys in a prison killed within 2 minutes." conversation at the start.

I bet the barrels are half filled with sand. I find it hard to believe that the barrels would be that heavy with paper money.

I only remember him from a show called Durham County where he was pretty freaky. I thought he might have a more major role in BB but I guess it wasn't to be.

I'm forgetting so much of the detail in the show - when on the timeline did Skyler find out for certain that Walt was cooking meth? Did she know anything about Hank being at risk before he was shot?

Btw was I the only one that expected the old guy at the start to come to a sticky end? I was expecting another of Jesse's good-hearted ideas to come back and bite him the butt.

Start of Season 3. She wasn't involved enough to know about Hank being in any possible danger though. She only knew Walt was making loads of money from making meth.

1m in $100 bills weighs about 22lbs. He has about 75-200m to move.

Very boring episode? Jesse is in DEA/FBI custody about to go face to face with Hank and 4 of the main characters (Walt/Skyler vs Hank/Marie) are at odds because a secret that existed since episode one is out in the open.

This is completely ignoring the subplot involving Lydia and Todd killing off Declan and his crew to produce Walt's formula.

What the hell did you just watch, because it obviously wasn't this episode.

Well, Skyler already said last season that a bill of any denomination weighs 1 gram, so the denomination of the bills wouldn't affect the weight of the barrels.
