Spokes breaking

So I have spokes starting to break regularly , the spokes themselves are not actually snapping but the eyelets seem to be coming loose and dropping inside the rim , just this evening 3 spokes went after only 30k into my cycle , I'm not cycling bad roads either , the rims are fulcrum racing 7 , I have the bike a few months , not sure how old they are , but don't seem too old ( not too much wear on them ) . The first time it happened 2 broke , I brought it to my bike shop and they said that I was the 2nd person in that day with fulcrums , the next time ( a few days later ) he just said "not again " ( 2 spokes that time ) , altogether I've been to them 3 times with tomorrow being the 4th time , do you guys think its time to invest in a new set of rims? , I have never had to replace any on the back , are fulcrums prone to spoke issues ?

Surely it's just a lack of tension allowing them to work loose ?

Aye ,that's what I thought , wouldn't they check that in the shop though , it's only about 2 weeks ago since they got repaired last , I've only done about 350k since then

If the wheels are only a few months old I would expect them to be either replaced or repaired on warranty. Repair sounds like it's not working, either due to some fundamental issue(s) with the wheels or because the person doing the repairs in the shop doesn't have sufficient skill to do it right, so I'd push for replacement.

Generally speaking, spokes should not loosen to the extent that the spoke nipples work their way off the spokes. That suggests a *very* poorly built wheel, most likely insufficient tension in some or all of the spokes, that should never have left the factory. Unless the entire wheel is checked to ensure that all of the spokes are adequately tensioned then the problem will just recur time and time again.

Hi thanks for the reply , I'm not sure exactly how old the wheels are , I bought the bike 2nd hand a few months ago , I will be getting Missus sullzz to bring the wheel back to the shop this morning , ill be interested to hear what they say this time , its gone to the stage now where I'm waiting for one to break when I'm out on the bike .

Find someone else to fix your wheels. That shouldn't be happening.
