New claim requirements

I attempted to transfer my claim last week from one office in Dublin to another as a result of me moving address. The lady refused to transfer my claim because the bank statement and upc bill I provided her with are no longer adequate as a means of proving my address.

The lady told me I now need a 'lease' even though I don't have one in writing. She gave me a form which I must have signed and filled out by my landlord who doesn't know Im unemployed.

I told her that I wouldn't tell my landlord I was unemployed because first of all its none of her business and second of all I could face eviction.

The lady provided me with no other alternative but to provide a 'lease' but I haven't yet received it from the landlord and I don't know how I can put pressure on her to produce one as she only gave me seven days to produce one or would suspend my claim.

There must be an ombudsman I can complain to as this is an absolute disgrace. Not accepting bank statements or bills is the downright questioning my integrity and an attack on my civil liberties.

I asked her to provide a valid reason as to why she refused to accept the bills as proof of address and she told me it was the department of social welfares attempt at clamping down on fraud.

So even though my claim has been awarded and I have moved address, refusing to grant my RIGHT to have my claim transferred is now considered clamping down on fraud. For Christ sake, the only reason Im on the dole is to qualify for jobbridge and nothing else. Otherwise I would have been long time gone out of here with my degree.

Thanks visual. What was even more sickening was that she asked me for ID. When I showed her my college ID card she said that was no longer adequate either. So I asked her what she wanted. She said, passport, drivers licence or birth cert.

The fact that I had to wait over an hour before my ticket was called meant that I was going to waste her time just like they had wasted mine. I had all three but only showed her my birth cert which I reminded her had no photograph. I asked her to explain to me how me showing her my birth cert, which has no photograph on it, was going to combat fraud when their is no evidence on the birth cert to show that it belongs to me. She just ignored me.

Just pure typical contemptuous attitude.
