can anyone tell me if somebody is in receipt of welfare and mortgage interest supplement and then opted to take a job as a carer, firstly how many hours on average would the candidate be offered. Secondly if you are driving between jobs who pays petrol expenses. There is no point me giving up my Back to education allowance and entitlement to mortgage interest supplement if i will be offered ten hours. I would be at a huge loss. can anyone explain to me how taking up employment as a relief type worker affect welfare contributions.

    Cheers
