    Hello there,
Is it possible to get a PPL for cheaper than what it is now because the price is far too steep for me to afford for the next few years.
Is it possible that the RAF would help me achieve this goal?

    Thanks,
    Brian

The RAF wont take Native Irish into fly so your hopes would be dashed on that part unless you wish to be ground crew.

It is possible. But not in Ireland or UK.

You will have to travel to US to obtain a cheap PPL.

You need to be a British citizen to join the RAF. If either of your parents were born in NI, you can apply for one. Not sure how this is done but it's possible.

Not strictly true, you need to a British subject for certain jobs, but generally they will take Irish citizens

I think you can also get citizenship if your parents where born before 1949 in the Republic
