Urine Smell on Carpet

    Hi All,

Wondering can you help me, I believe a person may have passed urine on the carpet of my house, but they won't say for obvious reasons, as a result I have a terrible smell. I have tried washing up power and water, and also tried white vinegar but neither have worked. When the door of the room is open the smell goes right through the house and can be smelt in the bedrooms which is very bad.

Can someone tell me the best way to get rid of this smell, it has been there about 5 days at this stage.

    Thanks
    BadSmell

Bicarbonate of soda is the best. Sprinkle over area, leave for a couple of hours. Then hoover.

I'm 90% sure it was urine as the floor was wet, however after trying Vanish on it today the smell is still there. Is there anything that I can use to just put in the room that will eliminated the smell, so that if it's not the carpet it will still go away. I'm thinking of getting Freshners for the room and joining room so that the spell does not spread but this will not remove the smell just make it bearable.

    Do odours stick to walls?

Bicarbonate of soda. Try it first.
