    hi,

looking for a bit of advice. My mother in law is having a rough time of it of late, having spent the most of the year in and out of hospital. She's having a load of cardiac and respiratory problems. Problem is that 1 week she's in with chest pain, seen by one team and discharged, then follows this with a chest infection, admitted under resp team and discharged.

She is 73 and has just given up a 30 a day smoking habit.

We are thinking of getting her seen privately to try and get all her problems addressed at the same time.

Thing is who would see her? Given her age would a gerontologist see her? Or would we still need the 2 specialist consultants?

Does anyone know if we can get a sleep apnea assessment done privately, as the current waiting list is over 8 months??

    Thanks for reading
