Well, after nearly 2 years of unemployment I had planned on going back to college but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen as it seems I applied a bit to late for the course.

I can't spend any more time sitting around doing nothing. I'v done many courses in Fas but just wanna get a proper job now since my college looks like it'll fall through.

Just wondering what would you people recommend I do here? I have worked in a pet store since a young age so I should have no problem getting a good reference. Would anyone know any good company's that would take on a young, enthusiastic worker :D

What college course are you going for? May help to know what you plan on doing with your life.

It's hard to tell when we know so little.
    Where do your interests lie?
What's the course you plan on doing?
What are your skills qualifications to date?

If you're quick there are Springboard courses recruiting at the moment. I've applied for a few myself and been accepted onto one so far. Check out www.spingboardcourses.ie for info you just about have enough time to apply.

It was a security/police studies course in crumlin college. I'm very intrested in joining Gardai but the way things are now it doesnt look like it's gonna happen for a good while anyway.

At the moment i'm trying to concentrate on getting a job and beig honest some money. I'm starting to get pissed off having nothing to do and having no money... I had a meeting with the social welfare on thursday but they have nothing to really offer me.

That wouldnt really do anything for me mate. Financially it'd leave worse off.. I'd rather have a wage at the end of the week.
