Looking for ideas for a new scope to suit my HMR.

I've a budget of €200 max and im looking for something with a 30mm tube to use with a new set of mounts I only have a month.
    • Im looking for something in 4-16 or maybe 4-12.
    • 30mm tube
    • Objective lens I'd be hoping to have 50mm
    • not too fussy about having IR, target turrets and no specific reticle

I was looking at maybe getting a Nikko Nighteater 4-16x50 30mm.

    Any opinions?

Hard to pass the hawke scopes

Think the varmint model is in or around that money.

It is but its got a 25mm tube and I dont want to go through the hassle of trying to sell new mounts and buying new ones.

Ah right ye sorry I missed that one. I know the sidewinder has 30 mm tube but its 400 not what your looking to spend.

The Eclipse has a 30mm tube and side focus - I suppose it'd be considered the next step up from the Varmint in the Hawke range.

Likely to be closer to €230 but I'd say it's as close to the mark as you're going to get and there's not much to match Hawke in that price range right now. ;)

it ends up as 270 delivered from deben.com who's the irish dealer for Hawke.

out of budget at the minute.

Activehunting Ireland can get the Hawke scopes at the same price as the website. Worth giving them a ring.

Has anyone compared the nighteater 4-16x50 with the eclipse 4-16x50?

Ive seen the fixed parallax 4-12x56 one but not really the eclipse one properly.

Might hold out if the nighteater isn't in the same league.
