    Hey folks,

    Seems like within minutes of cleaning my windscreen it gets destroyed in bug juice again.

    I know there are coatings for windscreens but do these help prevent bug hits from bonding so well to the glass? If so what would you recommend?

    Also what do you use in the windscreen washer bottle, just diluted glass cleaner?

    I haven't bothered with any of these long lasting hydrophobic glass coatings myself yet, but apart from Gtechniq G1, Rollo Gillespie up in Tandragee has recently brought out his own version that according to him is the dog's danglies.

    I'd say Curran sells this.

    For balance, Larry down in Cleancar.ie sells the Gtechniq stuff;

    Metzgermeister will be along any minute now to discuss in great detail the virtues of the Gtechniq range in general, with particular emphasis on the Gtech Glass Selant Kit.
    Expect a powerpoint presentation at the very least.:D:D:D:D:D

    I read this thread earlier on and withheld the temptation to post about it just to annoy you :P

    In this particular case however (and for balance) I will give a +1 for the OAC Hydrophobe. :pac:

    Oh balls!
    Does this mean I have to give the powerpoint presentation on the Gtech wonder-stuff?
    OK so, pens and paper at the ready and Metzger will answer any questions you may have at the end.
    Here we go - quiet down the back there!

    Thanks guys, there's 2 products I can try anyway.

    What do ye put in your windscreen washer bottles? I have it in my head that any windscreen washer which is good (getting bug strikes n gut streaks off quickly) will also strip sealant/wax off any areas it runs onto. True, not true??
