Great start for europe, up 3-1 after the morning foursomes.

    Greens are turbo fast.

It's cringey listening to the fans.

I'd have mashed potatoes all day over variations of the wheels on the bus this bunch are singing

    Pretty bad alright.
Michelle Wie is out in the last group, paired against the 17 year old Brit.

635 yards and lexi is on in two!!

Lexi Thompson is some hitter. Doing a Poulter and Bubba on the 1st tee also. Kudos.

Every time someone hits a green it's like the crowd have got a bingo with the celebrations out of them.

2 super shots but European putting has been poor. Missed plenty and now going to pay the price

Looks like an interesting two days ahead. Shame it doesn't get the attention that the Ryder cup gets. These women are very patriotic and passionate, and at times fairly bitchy 😉

No nerves from petterson and Ciganda - gone 1 up now with 2 holes to go after being down for most of the match

Masson and Hedwell have held their lead throughout the match too

I fell asleep before it was over but not a bad outcome at all! Looked at one stage that America would win the session 3-1

    Rules official LOLZ

Europe will be thrilled with that score, having never won on US soil. Added bit of controversy there with that rules official making a massive error, US team will be sore.

jesus, they complain about one break and another american pairing were given a gift by the rules official earlier in the round when one of the other american players hit her own caddy and the rules official said play on, no penalty.

That doesnt seem right to me. Hitting your own bag is a penalty, so hitting the guy who carries your bag should also be a penalty, right ?

How did she hit her caddy?!

First tee announcer is a tad over zealous too. Ivor Robson he isn't.

well that I dont know. we never saw a replay of it - but the commentators and on-course commentators were talking about it. So I'm guessing the cameras werent on her when she took the shot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,982 ✭✭✭Trampas

    Wie has some putting stroke

She shouldn't be playing foresomes. Leave her in four balls

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 196 ✭✭baboo800

Wie is going to have some serious back problems in the future if she continues to putt the way she does

I don't mind the crowd at all, at least there are no mashed potato knuckleheads.

Pasting for Europe in this session! Creamer and Lewis were never going to be beaten!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,952 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

That golf course must be at some serious altitude.
The clubs the golfers are using for yardages is crazy.
    6 iron 211 yards,4 iron 231 yards,9 iron 180 yards.

    Edit :
Almost 2000m abouve sea level ,at least 15% extra distance due to altitude and heat ,maybe more.
