Dead moss and thatch

    I'm looking to rake out blackened moss and thatch from about 5 acres. Can anyone suggest a type of harrow/scarifier that would limit damage to existing grass?

    I think the einbock tine harrow looks like a good machine

    Would it pull up the grass that's growing or just the dead trash in between?

    Doubt it would pull up grass that's growing have read that they are good for pulling out moss and dead stuff

    Looking at the price of them they'd be well out of my range. I'd want to be spending hundreds rather than thousands as I'm only fixing up a small bit of the land at the moment. Would a pin/chain harrow be suitable? I've seen a good few of them knocking around donedeal for cheap
