Okay, so I'm currently on the Horizon trial and was checking to see if there was any changes to the deals for broadband and there deals.

Anyway, checked the site noticed it said 15MB upload for the 150MB package, but noticed it also says 10MB in the image right above, so taught perhaps it was just a mistake but was still hopeful.

    http://www.upc.ie/broadband/

However, when we jump over to this page we can see it says 15MB again.

So, i think they are finally bumping the upload speed and while it's not the 20MB I was hoping. It's a step in the right direction.

Noticed that myself last night when I was doing a comparison between UPC and Eircom packages. would rather that they could deliver the speeds that they have now to be honest.

I'm on the 150mb package but still only getting 10mb up on speedtest.upc.ie. I've even rebooted the router. Has anyone tried and gotten the 15mb up yet?

Haven't gotten it as of yet. To be honest, I was expecting a higher upload speed whenever UPC did decide to increase it. Preferably 30 to match Eircoms VDSL.

I'm paying €45/m for a rubbish 8mb wireless connection and people whining over this?

I'd be glad to pay more for that connection you lot have...!! :(

    Sorry for my "whining".

    Your post is off-topic.

just checked and my cable modems seems to be in around the 10mb/s each... no upgrade yet... the VDSL is still flying ahead at about 20mb/s... an upgrade to 15mb/s upload would be very welcomed!

    To OP
    150MB(megabyte) = 1200Mb(megabit)

So are you really getting these speeds?

Take it easy, we all know the difference here.

Looks like UPC are reading this thread.

They removed all mention of 15Mb on both links on the OP, but there was another that is still there.

No way it was a mistake since it was in three different places. Not really sure what you are playing at UPC but please just bump the upload speed. Backing up my entire computer would be far easier and to be honest it's now more important than download speed.

I reckon it's because they want to match eircom. I mean, why bump the upload speed if not to at least match the competition?

That's exactly what I'm hoping. They have no reason not too. I never thought I would move from UPC, but I must admit that 20Mb upload speed it nothing to laugh at.

Since this thread was current (2 years ago), upc increased their upload to 24mbps.
