First some background. Me and my oh are name drivers on each others policy. I'm 23 she's 24. She drives a 1.6 coupe and me a 1.4 golf. She got her full licence a few months ago and it brought her insurance down by 300€ and mine by 70€. I got mine very recently and it's brought hers down by 120€ and mine by only 40€.

I can't understand why her having her full licence brought my policy down more than me getting my own full licence??

Can anyone explain or have any idea for the vast differences in price drops.??

Are you named drivers on each others policies? That would probably explain why her getting her full license would reduce the cost of your policy and vice versa.

Without knowing the specifics of how much each of you were paying before it is hard to say why hers dropped more than yours, but she is driving a 1.6 coupe which many insurers would see as a bigger risk probably than your 1.4 Golf, so its possible they had more scope to reduce hers than yours?
