How many of you had one of these in the very early 1990's? I had one between 92' & 95' but unfortunately I lost it years ago during a house move when I was 13.

Anyways since they are still making these watches I decided for old times sake to buy another one today. It's amazing as they are identical to what they were all those years back. I'm going to use it as a training watch for cycling and the gym.

Took these pics in the car after I got it. :p.
Keep in mind though the prices of these really vary. A jewellers in Liffey valley shopping centre wanted €23 and another jewellers wanted €17. I bought this one for €15 in a local jeweller just down the road from me.

Wearing mine today. A bargain for less than a tenner on amazon.

    It is a real classic.

Only two things will survive a nuclear fall out. Cockroaches and the F-91W.

I used to have a brown one. I guess it's nearly as tough a g-shock , or at least I have the memories that it was. Mine survived being thrown of the 5th floor of a building. The week spot was the plastic case and specially the plastic legs of the spring bars. I guess there are thousands and thousands of F-91W's that never being worn any longer as the legs are broken of, but still ticking (err. calcaulating :P ) strong...

That's right the casing where the straps were mounted to use to break. I remember super glueing the piece that broke off back in again. The straps themselves do tear unfortunately. I wonder are they making the casings out of a harder plastic now though. Or would they bother even fine tuning such a cheap watch.

    Argos do it for 12.49e

For such a cheap watch there are lots of fakes on eBay too, probably best avoided

Buy it from a jewellers if your worried about fakes.
eBay probably have many fakes but lots of official Casio dealers about so it's easy to avoid it.
