Reading the newspaper while driving.

Driving home last week from Work, was on the Autobahn near the Dutch Border.

Was waiting for a gap to pull out and overtake truck in front of me.

Gap appears and I pull out into the overtaking lane, car around 150 meters behind me speeds up, while looking in the rear view I see he's just staring down and not looking ahead.

Flash the hazards and beep the horn, increase my speed as I'm about half way from overtaking the truck, he glances up, a coffee and a newspaper flies up in the air and he brakes while weaving all over the place a few meters from my bumper and almost runs into the lorry.

I complete my overtake and pull in, guy blasts past and then pulls in front of me and stamps on the brakes, I try to overtake instead and he pulls out into the middle of both lanes.

I slow down, not sure what to do as he was clearly in a rage and didn't want to provoke him further.

Was stuck behind him for another 3-4 kilometers with him giving me the finger and tapping his brakes every so often, pulling out so as to cover both lanes.

Eventually just pulled in at the next petrol station, waited 4-5 minutes in case he took the next exit and came back then took off again.

Bloody nutjobs in every country, the guy was driving a German registered car from Velbert

    I need a dashcam

And try to explain to a German Policeman that would have to follow him into the Netherlands that he was driving like a lunatic but there is no proof other than my word that the incident occurred ?

If it happened on the Dutch side it would be fine as they have CCTV all over the A67, the Germany side has very little, mainly just Vignet cameras.

sorry, I just read alot of these, and it winds me up. While stopped for those 4-5 mins, I'd have been straight onto the cops. Doesnt matter that is his word against yours, get it in there. Enough reports about the same guy, and things might actually happen - driving like that, with that degree of aggressiveness doesnt sound like a once off
