Hi im Going to be in Donegal for a while with work and was wondering is the anywhere that can receive a Vodafone UK signal ? Will be close to the border in around the Newtowncunningham area . Just need it for texting and calls 3G isnt needed. Thanks

You have a pretty good chance of a Vodafone UK signal around Newton but you might be better off getting a cheap pay as you go phone and using it until the free credit is gone if all you need is text. Alternatively if you have a smart phone get Viber or WhatsApp and use wi-fi to send your texts.
