I reseeded a field in 96 with the turbo grazing mix it was expensive but that field is still growing strong today.

Never bother looking at any companies, just look at dept list and pick 3 variety s that suit what I want and order it through local coop..this year it was tyrella, abberchoice and mesquita..all diploids and for grazing.some companies have a crazy amount of varietys in their mixes.

Does the price of the seed go up much when the amound of varieties goes up ?
Would more different types in the mix be any help to adapt and grow with the different swings of weather we have been getting at different times of the year or do they die out quicker when they are diluted together ?

It's been a few yrs. now but have used quite a bit of it before. Was pleased with progress, turbo and colossal for silage. How much an acre is it these days. Might give them a try again this yr.

be careful with mesquite. made up a mix 3-4 years ago with 1/3 of that variety in it and its a difficult paddock to graze out midseason. it gives super dense covers but has poor digestibility. after talking mike Donovan in moorepark he said it was a variety was more suited to silage mixes as it tended to go to seed easily.

no plough, level and broadcast. farm has a wet nature to it so most of my paddocks need some drainage work done before I reseed so I tend to plough as a result.

Ye is expensive seed I think.
Dissuasion group member sowed last year in an acre ofva field he had drained.
Said 120 cows got a good feeding off it for a night on its first grazing
