In the need of a new pair and im torn between the FJ Sports and the Nike Lunar Control 2.
Ive tried on a pair of the Nikes and was very impressed with the comfort and the lightness.
I currently wear a pair of Dryjoys and after 2 years have cracked and are slowly leaking.
Im interested in hearing some opinions, google doesnt seem to have any of the 'FJ v Nike' review versions for these shoes.
    Thanks

Always been a dryjoy man however if you play a decent amount (2-3 pw in summer, 1-2 pw in winter) 2 years is pretty good for a shoe to last. Maybe others may disagree. Have my dryjoys 2 years and there still serving me well.

Hey man I used to always wear nike because I find them the most comfortable golf shoe by far but they never lasted long. The shoes would start peeling around the toes and looked terrible.

Wear footjoy sport now, not nearly as comfortable but they are far more durable I think.

Have to say changed to Footjoy this year from years of wearing adidas. Best decision made in a long time! Great shoes, comfortable and still in great nick months later

I have a pair of aqualites that must be 5 years old. Easily got me through 100 rounds and still perfectly comfortable and waterproof.

Have a pair of lunar control 2 only few weeks but they are seriously comfortable. My feet use to hurt after a round of golf but not anymore. Don't know about durability because I've only had them a few weeks

Thanks for the replies folks. Think im going to stick with FJ, it seems to have gotten more replies than the Nike!

Little bit late here but just for future reference...

€50 Nike after 8 months. Waterproof for about a week.

€110 DryJoys after 8 months. 2-3 rounds per week and yet to let a droplet of water in. I guess it's better to pay a little more for quality.

The first pair look like they might've come out of my van.:o
Did you mind them the same though?

FWIW I bought a pair of Adidas at the start of the year, they lasted 6 weeks before the water came in. Granted the only bit of attention they got was I opened the laces taking them on and off. Had a pair of FJ's previously last 2 seasons which weathered far better with the same disregard.

Yeah they looked rough alright. They actually started to peel after about a month. Well I have done the exact same with both pairs - always put in a dry room straight after my round to dry gradually and an occasional rub down with a wet cloth.

had the same shoes Snowdrifts .. .like you, mine started peeling after a month, and now, 7 months later, they're actually embarrasing to wear !!!

Yeah - didn't exactly look good rocking up to the 1st tee wearing those. :D

Definitely put me off Nike shoes but would be interesting to see how a more expensive pair would wear in comparison to the DryJoys.

Those nikes look like you where wearing them on a building site for a year!:) Another recommendation for FJ here, I've a pair of aqualites for coming on 3 years now, and the only time I've ever had wet feet was when I miss judged the depth of a puddle

I don't think I'm going to find out to be honest.
Prefer to spend the cash on FJs which are known to be well reliable...

although the Nike Lunar 2 do look quite cool ....

I've always had DryJoys. Went to Florida this year & went to buy a new pair of FJ's. The guy convinced me to buy Adidas AdiPures. I have to say they are unbelievably comfortable, so far still water proof & looking as new.

Lads have any of ye returned the shoes to the shop if they start leaking or peeling? Should be a 12 month guarantee with them surely?

No I didn't think to keep the receipt there was a year guarantee. I thought they'd surely last a year.

I'd say depending on where you bought them some places would still stand over them. Or if you paid by credit card that would do.
