    Hi all,
    Was thinking of heading to ballsbridge in search of my first Sea trout.
    Anybody got any tips,knowledge or advice on the area etc?

    There at lansdowne road is meant too be good
    Never fished it though
    I have seen one our two coming up in low water

    Just out of interest lads whats the salmon and sea trout fishing like in dublin.. Can you catch sea trout and salmon in the city?? is there other rivers besides the liffey???

    Dodder and tolk have runs of both. dargle in wicklow and vartry also. although the latter suffered a big fish kill last year

    I think we the only country in the world where its capital has a run of salmon in more then one river that runs through it... Sad about the fish kill tho..

    Keep the powder dry and wait till nighttime
    You should have a much better chance then....

    Remember, when you fish for Salmon or Sea Trout you must have a current state Licence.
