NCT Alternative Date

    We have a NCT date booked for my daughter's car, but have just realised it is the day before her driving test. There don't seem to be any alternative dates on the website. Does anyone know if they keep any appointments back for cases like this or is there a chance of a cancellation? Thanks.

    They don't hold dates and theres a big backlog in most. Why can't it be done on that day? Doesn't take that long. You'd have to probably keep ringing every day for a cancellation

    Thanks for the reply. I would prefer to get it done sooner because if it failed on anything she wouldn't be able to do her test. Annoyed with myself for just noticing this on a Friday night and I won't be able to do anything about it until Monday morning.

    When is the previous NCT due?

    It expired at the end of May, but none of us noticed and they no longer send out a notification in the post!

    If you contact the NCT Center typically they ask you to produce proof of the test date (Driving) and they will try to accommodate you based on that =]

    My husband went up to the NCT centre first thing this morning and they are going to try to do it Wednesday. Thanks for your replies.
