Can someone tell me the following:

Accountant is on Hols at present and want to check something..

    VAT for Services is 37500.

Is this broken into VAt periods

    Jan/Feb 6250
    Mar/apr 6250 etc

do we register for VAT if we go over 6250 two consecutive periods or if the year is 37500?

lets say we dont have 2 consecutive periods of going over the allowed amount, but overall we do. ?

Which is it based on ?

    Please help :)

You are supposed to register when your expected annual turnover exceeds the limit. If your turnover is around 6k per bi monthly return and you think that this will continue for 6 periods you should register.

Its annual threshold . You can do all your trading in Nov / Dec and nothing for the rest of year but if you think you'll hit the threshold for the year within the year you must register.
