Can anyone make any suggestions? I picked one up before in a garage but it wasn't great. I see Miele have a car cleaning kit but it appears to just fit on to an existing hoover so I don't really see the point? http://www.did.ie/miele-car-care-cleaning-kit-9060330-prd

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I use henry the hoover! I also have an attachment that's designed to clean keyboards, I think I got it in aldi. Looks something like the pic below.

    SP12-4-2.jpg

Gets in all the small places.

A vax is useful, they vaxes are great for a big clean. I have one like this.

Got it cheaper, I think in Aldi again! It does function as a vacuum (don't use it for that) and as a wet vac.

Our Miele S8 handles the cars brilliantly, without need for special attachments etc.

They're famously durable beasts & even at lower wattage, are apparently so well engineered that they tend to leave nothing behind. This 2000W S7 from Arnott's looks a very decent price at €129, with free delivery also.

Car specific hoovers suck, every one of them.

A Miele and an extension cable is all you will ever need.

I just use my house hoover with an extension cord. The furniture implements that came with the hoover works well in the car too.

Meile dog and cat 1800w hoover is the best, comes with a chink of attachments perfect for the car's awkward places.

I Use this: Dyson. Expensive but the best I've found, its cordless too, so no need for Ext cords.

I've got a Miele and it's so good it's killing me on Hoover bags !

I use a lidl wet and dry hoover. They're cheap, have good suction and you can use it to wash seats and carpets too. It came with 2 filters and you had to change them depending on weather you were hoovering wet or dry things but I got a filter for it from ebay that does both :)

The only cordless vacuum cleaner of any use seems to be the dewalt DC500 wet/ dry vac.

dewalt dealers in dublin have them at 154 inc vat if you already have a dewalt 18v battery and charger. If you need a battery and charger the whole lot will come to 350 ish euro inc vat. you could always get a charger and battery off adverts / donedeal cheap enough, maybe even with a drill.

for vacuuming a household dyson is pretty good. For carpet and seat washing I find bissel good.
