HELP! Last night the above message appeared on my Google Nexus 7. It was a present from christmas.

I mainly use it for facebook, watch movies (Torrents app) and play candy crush! I had a few other apps nothing much.

Anyway, when the above appeared - I deleted lots of apps, even the Movie one - however, it is still saying insufficient storage - I have barely anything left on my nexus - and its still giving the same message.

    According to Internal Storage settings:
    Currently 388mb available
    Apps - 387mb used
    Pictures/videos - 748kb
    Audio - 332kb
Downloads - 26.65gb? (the folder is empty)
    Cached data - 900kb

I went into settings and cleared cached data too?
I did a search and seen some advice on downloading app Trim (Lagfix). But I can't even download apps (insufficience space).

Can anyone help? Or is my nexus dying after 8 months????!

It's clear all the downloads are filling the space. Do you mean that when you click on downloads nothing shows up? Have you tried navigating in the file browser to the download folder?

On my phone it shows 222MB in Downloads but when I click on it, it only shows one jpg at 1.1MB. The actual folder has more stuff in it though.

You need to use a file explorer like es file explorer. It will tell you what's really in your download folder. Then you can delete it all, oh and candy crush as well!

Yep the downloads is defo the largest file....
unfortunately I can't download anything i.e file manager.

Therefore Im at a loss of how to delete anything in it?

What puzzles me - is that even when I have deleted lots of games/movies etc already - its still saying insufficient space? Its like no space is freeing up. I've uninstalled/deleted most of the apps.

I have not deleted candy crush - if I do, would this affect my level achievement?!

If you can't install a file manager app you may need to temporarily remove some apps and restore them later. Assuming the 25gb is video files you might be able to delete them directly from your video player.

In your torret app, delete the task and files.
what torrent app are you using?

    not that I know of.
but check out an app called Dumpster. its a recycle bin app. handy for whenever you delete something by accident.

If you have syncing on you might be able to get them back from the web
