    Gaming PC Build
Hi, I'm looking to build a PC for around €1400 euro that runs all games from medium to high settings easily.

    1. What is your budget? [€1400]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming] (If gaming include which games: [Crysis 3, BF4, ArmA III, BF3 etc)

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
    [No]

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes, a monitor from amazon would be preferable.]

5a. If yes, what size do you need.
[A monitor 20" or bigger would be nice.]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [None]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse//Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] [I need them all]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [If it's safe]

    8. How can you pay? [Credit Card/Bank Transfer]

    9. When are you purchasing? [Hopefully within the week.]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Cork]

The actual computer itself would be great to get parts off http://www.hardwareversand.de/

If you could manage to slap a GTX 770 in the build, that would be great :)

What was wrong with the build in this thread? I think this is your 3rd thread.

It's my 2nd. I dunno man, since I decided to extend my budget to 1400 I could just add a GTX 770 to it? But maybe need a better PSU?

Just get SLI support for the desktop so say a 700 watt power supply and a motherboard that supports SLI and add a second 760 down the line.

Or else you get a build now that supports 1440P and the monitor included for the 1400. I can do a build for this.

Aye you could get a nice 1440p build and use the extra to buy your peripherals. You could upgrade the case, psu and ssd.

    Something like this maybe?

    Item|Price
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Intel/AMD|€29.68
    8GB-Kit G-Skill RipJaws PC3-12800U CL9|€60.71
    WD Caviar Blue 1TB 6Gb's|€56.12
    Samsung SH-118AB schwarz|€12.45
    Samsung SSD 840 120GB SATA 6Gb/s|€85.04
    Wavemaster MX-3+|€39.99
    Sharkoon Drakonia Gaming Laser Mouse|€24.37
    Sharkoon Fire Glider Gaming Mat|€6.99
    LogiLink USB 2.0 all-in-one Card Reader, für 3,5" Einbauchschacht|€3.32
    ASUS PCE-N15|€14.90
    2 x Nanoxia Deep Silence 140 - 1100|€17.34
AMD FX-6300 Prozessor, Boxed, Sockel AM3+|€101.96
    ASRock 970 Extreme4, AM3+, ATX|€79.63
Nanoxia Deep Silence One Dark Anthracite, ATX, ohne Netzteil|€93.59
be quiet! SYSTEM POWER 7 700W|€81.46
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€726.54

    Windows. €44.

Monitor. Roughly €280 including customs charges.

2 of these graphics cards. €310.

    Keyboard €40

    That's €1400 total.

Maybe maybe, 2 graphics cards do have their advantages.

It's a 27" 1440p monitor as well. That's double the pixels of 1080p. The picture quality is amazing. If you are spending €1400 you would be crazy not to go 1440p.

Lot's of people have bought that monitor here and all are happy with it. It's supposed to overclock to 120hz as well. You would easily spend 1k for a 120hz 1440p big brand monitor.

That previous build you showed me, should I stick a AMD 7950 or keep the GTX 760? I'll probably go with that build this weekend.

If you're going to overclock go with the 7950. It's a better card and comes with free games. You can get the Club3d 13 series for €255.

Alright, what was that extra SATA cable for?

The dvd drive. The mainboard comes with 2. You will need 3.

Well I will either go with your build and change it to a 7950 or spend the extra money and get a more beefy graphics card. 500 watts is enough? I may add something like a 770 so it might take more watts. And one last other thing, the cooltek cases are out of stock and have no known date, any other suggestions?

I wouldn't get a 770. You could just grab 2 of those cheap 7870's for less, overclock them, and have significantly more performance than a 770 gtx.

I'd upgrade the board to the Asrock Z77 extreme 3 and the psu to the be-quiet system power 7 700w if doing that. That will give you the option of upgrading to even more powerful cards and 1440p in the future as well. The Nanoxia deep silence 1 or 2 are great cases.

Why did you decide not to go with the 1440p build? You know you could even squeeze a 3570k and extreme3 in with the cheaper Zalman case and making a few other small changes for around €1400 as well.

    What about thermal paste?

The 212 evo comes with thermal paste.

Oh alright that's good to know. If I'm ordering within the next few days having the case out of stock with no known date is gonna be a problem.

They usually restock within the week, it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh by the way, do I need to spent over 100 euro for a monitor? I have a 42 inch TV that I could use, if that would work.

Alright, just say I went exactly with your build, but if I added an extra 200 euro onto it, what do you recommend upgrading to? I'm sure I can go with something like the 300 euro Asus AMD 7950. And maybe upgrade the CPU. I don't really know about SLI graphics.

No point paying that much extra for the Asus model. The club3d series 13 cooler is almost just as good for €45 less.

Alright, but it is reccomended for a 700W power supply. Maybe you could upgrade the motherboard?

I don't even know what parts you are going for at this stage.

That build you posted in the other thread, should I go with that one and drop the GTX 760 and go with this: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=66982&agid=1942&pvid=4nlnr2l1s_hk5u2nrr&ref=13

No I don't think so. Not worth the price difference. Do you want SLI/crossfire support

If you are overclocking go with the 7950. you can get 4 free games with it as well if you email HWVS and ask for the game codes.

I'll go with the 7950 RoyalKing. I probably won't even need to overclock since it can run the games maxed out. But I will most likely overclock in the feature. If I overclocked the whole system the most it would take is 300W? If I can remember what you said in the other forum.

300 - 350w under load. It will be rare that all components are maxed out so I would say an average of 300w for gaming.

Those royal kings are very strong overclockers and the 7950's come fairly low clocked compared to what they can do. You would easily get a 20-25%+ overclock out of them.
