Hey guys just wondering if anyone else gets this after drinking. Every time I go out and have more than a few drinks I spend the next few days freaking out. Its not the usual fear though, its more like I get psycho-somatic pain and convince myself that Ive all kinds of illnesses its driving me mad. Im also a smoker and that really has me freaked out Ive tried to quit loads of times but I just cant seem to kick it. I know the really obvious thing is to give up both drinking and smoking but I suppose for now Im just interested to know if anyone else feels the same?

yep the fear is terrible it lasts for 3 to 4 days for me after a heavy session... pains, aches, paranoid, afraid I said something to insult someone, depression you name it I keep asking myself why I put myself through it but its really good fun at the time, some one once said you remember the Saturday nights fun but I remember the Sunday morning fear

It's partly a lack of sugar. I'm not a doctor, but I know just what you're talking about!

Gobble down a few chocolate bars and a fizzy drink after drinking / before you fall asleep next time you go boozing.

    No, seriously.

There are a lot of threads about 'the fear' on this forum, if you search. It's very common. My only advice would be to cut down.

Maybe pace yourself a bit better and prepare. If you drink wine, have spritzers. Don't drink shots. Drink water between drinks. Line your stomach before you go out. Drink some Dioralyte in the morning to replace lost electrolytes. You can prevent yourself getting so hammered and that in turn will help minimize The Fear.
