I currently have Schwalbe Ultremo ZX and the back tyre is now pretty cut up after a year's commuting.

I am looking for a decent replacement and see that Planet X have a Open Corsa KS on special. Seems like a bargain but anyone have any experience of them? Will it cut up faster than the Ultremos?

I was also looking at the much recommended GP4000s but tis €70 delivered as opposed to €44

Fab tyres but cut up relatively quickly.
They are really racing tyres you're looking at rather than commuting ones btw

Does commuter racing not count? I need an edge on Mr. N11 Focus who took me on a hill yesterday.

    Thanks Rob,
Have you any hardier recommendations I could look into?

For the rear, a 25mm Conti 4 Season is pretty nice tyre. If you want something even faster with decent puncture protection then Conti GP 4000s.

I train on them and had 2 punctures since Jan and I cycle in the mountains/hills at least 5 times a week on crap roads.
