    Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice regarding the sale of a few old clocks. A relation of mine has a fairly good collection which he wants to cut down a bit. He has asking me about listing them on donedeal but I'd imagine that wouldn't be a great idea. Where is the best place be to go with these? Personally l don't know a lot about them but he tells me some of them are worth a bit. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Adverts.ie is the best website for buying and selling, plus it's free. Try that :)

A specialised auction house would probably be the best headache free way of moving them on. Someone else here should be able to advise you based on your location.

We're based in limerick but would not have any problem traveling to an auction in Ireland. Would adverts actually attract the type of people who would be interested in antique clocks?

Yes, but expect a lot of 'tyre kickers' or whatever the horological equivalent of a 'tyre kicker' is.

Would anybody have anymore information on where to go looking for specialist clock auctions?

There's no specialist clock auctioneers in Ireland but any of the bigger salerooms - Adams, Mealys, Weldons, O'Reillys etc. would be able to advise you. If you post up a few pics somebody here would probably be able to point you in the right direction.
