You gotta love the marketing.. "from €257" but the most common one (2.0 TDI) is another hundred on top of that.

They don't even list anything above that either which is kinda sad but reflects the Irish buyer alright.. I dread to think what they'd want for my 3.0 TDI!

each audi garage seems have a different price and terms, however most are doing the €399 deal for any audi petrol/diesel excluding quattro up to 2.0l between 3 and 10 years old for €399 which includes belt associated pulleys tensioners etc, waterpump and coolant i dont think its a bad deal at all considering the gates belt kit from micks garage for my car is €186 alone, i took up the offer as im collecting my car today and i got them to change the fan belt also for an extra €20 when their at it, got to say i feel its a decent offer

For the majority of A4s this applies to (3-10 years old) there are far far more 1.6 cars in the country compared to 2.0TDI. It mainly applies to B7 so 1.9TDI is by far and away the most popular.

My usual back street garage has quoted me €460 to change the timing belt, fan belt and water pump. I also need an oil leak sorted that needs to be done at the same time as these jobs. My usual garage has quoted €40 for the seal, which he assumes is the only problem. I'm tempted to get my first ever Audi service. Which dealers around North Dublin City Centre are reliable? I'm guessing Park would be most convenient.

Joe Duffy Audi North Dublin just quoted me 400 + 127 + unspecified amount for fan belt. Thanks but not thanks.

A4 1.8T B7 - Audi South Dublin just offered €450 excluding fan belt, which the receptionist seemed surprised I am replacing. She was to check with workshop and get back to me.

That is still pretty expensive. We do them for €350 which includes a genuine timing belt kit, water pump and auxiliary drive belt.

Do a bit more shopping around is my advice!

Not sure about bringing it all the way to Portlaoise, but that's food for thought. Thanks.

I'm visiting Cork this weekend, so am planning to leave the car down there with Audi Cork. Waiting to hear back from them now. Will still save quite a bit even with the return bus ticket, and the family member I am visiting gets two visits for the price of one.

i took up the deal with audi sligo and got timing belt, waterpump, coolant and fan belt changed for €413 all in

Does this come up every year by any chance?

    What's the current best price/deal for a timing belt service for A4 B7 1.9tdi?
The car has 120k miles and the history shows a belt change at 58k miles, so I think I should get it done.

A dealer quoted me €449 for the belt, tensioner and water pump. That sounds ok but I asked for fan belt and air con belt at the same time. Quoted €157. Seems very steep.

    Thanks.

You should be able to get it done for €350 all in at an independent garage using genuine Audi parts.

    Thank you.
Do Audi dealers vary or are all the prices the same?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,728 ✭✭✭George Dalton

They seem to vary judging by this thread!

Recently got a gates belt kit pump and tensioner for 400 on a 2009 b8 so shop around I'd say as well
