Ceiling insulated plasterboard or Attic insulation

    Hi there,
I'm getting some work done in my house (bungalow).

The ceilings all have old fashioned specked design on them.
So i'm getting it re-slabbed on the advice on my builder.
Then i thought of using insulated plasterboards instead of normal ones.

The extra cost of the insulated plasterboards verses normal plasterboards is 900euro (including extra labour). Would this 900 be better spent in the attic space improving the insulation? There is 100mm of old insulation in the attic.

I could just put normal boards on the ceiling.
It just seems a waste to not insulated the ceiling while i'm doing it.
At least this would prevent the heat leaving the room in the first place.

    Any advice/ideas would be great,
    Thanks
