Looking for 2 mic(guitar+vocal)

    Hey guys!

I've been interested in recording some covers for youtube for a while now.

I can sing a bit so I'll be doing that too, example of some things I'd be putting up first would be Layla(acoustic), maybe some things like Let Her Go aswell and when I get confident with playing them, stuff like Hendrix/SRV etc.

So I'd like to get a good mic for the instruments and one to sing into. I'm guessing I'll need something to connect to my computer, PA system or whatever it is called, I've no experience with recording hardware, so I don't actually know what I'll need alongside the mics.

Mics I was looking at are:

    Any help folks?

You can't go wrong with the 57 and 58, a staple in any recording studio and very versatile.
For a budget of €100 or so per mic it's what I'd go for and they're worth the investment.

    Hi,
Assuming you are recording onto your computer, you will need software and an audio interface to connect your mics to. Now some audio interfaces come with light editions of very powerful DAW software, so that's great! There are also free programs like Audacity that do the same thing.

Will you be playing and singing at the same time? If not, one Mic will do to get started, both you ones you linked are great choices, but for recording vocals and acoustic guitar you could also consider a condenser Mic rather than dynamic.

You are about to enter a whole new world, have fun!

Hey buddy! It will be recorded to my computer. The audio interface I was thinking about is this one

And I'll be singing and playing at the same time so I will need 2 separate mics. Haven't thought much about software though, I do have one called Reaper on my computer though.

I haven't used Reaper, but I've heard of it, I'm sure it will do the job. And it's strangely appropriate given your username - and my avatar!

That Alesis interface looks good, I use this one http://www.thomann.de/ie/alesis_multimix_4usb.htm very similar. Mine needs an external power supply and has an extra (jack) input, but no midi.
