    Impressive detail for sure!!

Its just a pity there isnt many car owners who would pay for such an intense service here in Ireland! There's plenty of guys out there who would be able to do similar work!!

What you reckon a detail like that would cost? (I know it was a job for a mate, say if it wasnt mates rates :) )

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,885 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

    I would say c. €450 - €550 for that job.

Those plates aren't UK so I'm guessing it's either Australia or NZ.

    He says....
Day 1 he starts bright an early, say 9am - finishes 1.10am
Day 2 he starts at 8.30am and finishes at 3.30am, having been called away once or twice
Day 3 he starts at 10.30am, does say how long, but say 4 hours, final inspection and donig a few loose ends

    Day 1 - 16 hours
    Day 2 - 16 hours??
    Day 3 - 4 hours

Total approx 36 hours work........thats a full week's work in most people's book....how much would you like to be getting paid a week for your time??
And include products used and its not exactly handy work either!! ;)

Well when you put it that way, I'd be wanting €1,075.67 after tax!

But there's no way an Irish motorist is going to pay that. You'd be lucky to find an enthusiast willing to spend even half that.

And then there are people out there who claim that there is no real full on detailers in Ireland. They might say its not a detail unless the lights are removed and cleaned, the trim / plastics removed and cleaned behind and protected...but then if they are told, it will take "x" amount of hours, and if clips get broken there might be a few extra quid to be charged...they're suddenly not interested, as their paint correction will be enough!

There is plenty of capable guys out there, but there isn't many willing to pay for their full ability.

    That wouldn't even cover the C4 you'd go through in a week!:D:D

OK look, that is just the height of stupidity to even suggest something like that. I mean cop on to yourself.

Apparently irdetailer is supposed to be the equivalent of detailing world for the 32 counties. This info is from Spirit Detailing's FB page so it must be right.
