First time build, Advice appreciated

Hey hey! Would love some advice on a first time build. After some research I'd like to go for a gtx 770 gpu along with an i5 3570k with a view to overclock and sli in the near future.

1. What is your budget? Willing to go up to 1600 euro if only needed.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming -> Skyrim, Rome 2, Day Z, Arma 3 basically next gen games too

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Nope I have a copy of W8

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Nope

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes a 1080p monitor. Unsure on which one to get though I've heard the LG IPS ones are really good?

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? I'd love a decent sound card on my pc as I listen to music 24/7 and a wireless card.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

8. How can you pay? Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser

9. When are you purchasing? Asap

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin

That's one ugly case. I got a little sick in my mouth but each to their own I guess

Here's a 1440p build I knocked together for someone in another post that would suit you as well. With that kind of budget you would be crazy not to go 1440p. Just drop windows and add a wireless card. I'd upgrade the case to the Deep silence one as well and add some extra fans.

A sound card isn't going to improve music quality much. Onboard sound is pretty good these days.

A lot of people on this forum have been buying this 1440p monitor lately. There is a post on this forum with lots of happy customers. It's supposed to be overclockable to 120hz as well.

Monitor €233 + roughly €40 customs charges.

I actually like the case you posted up as well, might get it instead.
Btw for 1440 p is the 760 2gb in sli good enough without any vram issues? Im willing to 770 sli but apparently 760 is much better value to performance so I have that in mind.
For extra fans so I just get like 2-3 120 mm fans and put them on the case? Not fully sure on how that works.

No problem.

Go for the deep silence 1. While it might look a bit plain and minimalist it' more feature rich and only costs €10-€15 more. There's 4 colors as well.

The case comes with 3 fans and a 2 channel fan speed controller for up to 6 fans so add 3 x 140mm fans. These are the same ones that come with the case. They are good fans.

2 x 760gtx will have more than enough power for any games in 1440p. You will get a solid 60 fps on max settings in 99% of games. The 770 costs 50% more for 25% more performance. Better price/performance ratio on the 760's.

If I sli will I need any sli bridge? Would the psu provide all the PCI connectors? Not sure how they work.
Any difference betweek the azrock extreme 3 and extreme 4?

You might need a bridge alright. I don't know if those cards will come with 1.

The psu has all the connections needed yes.

The 4 just has a couple of extra sata and usb ports and very slightly better onboard sound.

Got the SLI sorted. Most of the parts are ordered but just wanted to ask what's the LogiLink Serial ATA cable for 1.39 you posted used for ?

The dvd drive. The board comes with 2 cables or the hdd and ssd.
