Yep, get one that costs about 500 or less, and that can meet either the minimum or recommended specs for FM.

No I already have a laptop that plays FM, but I'm looking for something that will run most of the leagues at once and fully capable of supporting 70,000 player database. The fact this laptop is old enough makes me think I should be able to get a suitable laptop for in around that price.

If you wanna play huge databases on a laptop I would go with a haswell i7 or at least an i5 with 8gb ram.

this reply actually annoys me so much, why bother replying with something so useless?

Because youve been on this site long enough to know that there are specialised forums for this sort of thing.

I'm buying the laptop basically to suit FM, so it belongs here

Unless there's a machine made specifically for FM, i doubt it does

Bit harsh lads, to be fair when I am buying a new laptop tyhe first thing on my mind is how well it will run FM, after all it is my primary use for a laptop everything else is a bonus! , mine needs reformating at the minute, but I don't want to risk loosing my saved games etc.

If your looking for a good spec laptop for FM, PC world were doing some tempting deals in the sales a few weeks back. Your looking for something with an i5 processor at least, i7 is better but more expensive, RAM is the most important mine has 4GB and does ok with 4 leagues next laptop I'll be looking for 8gb.

Good graphics card for the 3D engine but you won't get all 3 you need for under €500. I'd go for one with high RAM , a decent processor and card that way it'll at least run fast and smooth.
