Outboard Link arm

Trying to connect up an outboard engine to a steering system on a small boat (16 ft). At the momen, there is a steering cable in place from the wheel that connects back to a threaded pushrod that moves quite freely and seems in the right position.

My question is what should I use to connect the pushrod to the engine - I assume that it's some type of link arm? Is there a connector to go at the end of the threaded pushrod?

Any help appreciated, I can post a pic at some stage if that helps.

I think this is the part you are looking for "link arm" they come in different shapes and sizes depending on what outboard you have you can also get an adjustable one like this that will cover most engines. They have some here
