I was wondering if picking Physics Chemistry and Biology for the leaving cert was the right choice as i heard people complaining about it being hell to do all three. I have a really big interest in physics and chemistry and the teacher's said i have a real spark for science. The biology teacher who i had last year for JC was really bad and bored me to death  ( I only picked biology cause its was the only subject on that band that i found one bit intersting) so was it the right idea?? or a big mistake???

Thanks in advance for your answers

People say a lot of things about the leaving cert, but people aren't you. If doing three sciences actually interests you then you'll find it a lot easier than doing three "easy" subjects where you can't pay attention in class. That isn't to say that an objective robot wouldn't find doing three other subjects easier but that just isn't how people are made. Do what interests you and you'll find it easier, that said, don't expect just cause it's interesting, that you wont also have to work hard. But hey, that's life...

I was going to pick all three but someone advised me against it because apparently I was restricting my future job prospects so I picked history instead of biology. I ended up doing a lot of bio in college and regretted not taking it. Go for all three

If you're 100% sure you will do something science related in college, then do all three. I'm planning to do all three when I get into 5th year. My science teacher teaches all three and he is a top quality teacher if you do the work and listen, so I suppose it's a win win for me ;). Bottom line, do what you think is right :).

I am doing the 3 currently and am quiet happy with my decision. I loved science for junior cert and decided to keep all three on. Physics and chemistry are very intresting and challenging and this is why I love them. On the other hand biology is boring. My teacher does all he can to make it intresting but i still find it boring. I do not find it near as hard as people say and getting A1s in all three is not that hard. If you like science and intend pursuing a career in it you should definately keep on at least 2
