anyone know where you can buy a streaky bacon joint in south west dublin anymore? ive tried countless shops and butchers and nothing. the places I used to get it have stopped stocking it due to lack of demand. sign of the fast paced yuppy lifestyle people became used to during the boom I suppose.

A lot of butchers still sell belly pork. If you want it as a bacon joint you may need to ask them to brine it for you. Check out good butchers in your area - they should be able to sort you out.

The odd butcher said they could order it in for me in a day or 2 but I don't plan dinners, I just make what I fancy come 3 or 4pm so I like going in somewhere and just being handed it. Grew up with my grandparents and traditional food. I'm only 28 amazing how much things have changed in the last 3-7 years

you should ask your local dunnes stores. they are in some of the bigger stores so if you ask your local store they should be able to get them for you.

Find a pork specialist. They will be able to do it for you.

If Galway has a pork specialist them Dublin surely has a few.

Googled it and found this, I'm not familiar with Dublin so it's portably a bit far for you.
