What to do?

    Hi,

I had to drop something off somewhere a few days ago and got talking to a girl that worked there (general small talk) and it seemed as if we clicked fairly well.

I'm usually shy and reserved but found myself wanting to ask her out (not something I would usually dream of doing). I wasn't going to do anything about it there and then as there was an audience, but she was dealing with something else on the phone when I had to leave and I didn't have time to be waiting around.

This was a few days ago as I mentioned, and she's still on my mind.

Going back to where she works isn't an option as I've no business there and also because of the already mentioned audience.

Would it be too much or creepy to send a letter to her workplace marked for her attention (I managed to get her first name when she was speaking with a workmate) with my number, asking her out?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A letter is creepy. Going there to ask her out isn't. You just have to have the balls to do it (doesn't matter that you have no business there....you're going there to ask her out....sounds like an excuse)

    Just my opinion....

I agree-just go and ask her! Also in a big company all post is often opened by someone, stamped and THEN passed on to the recipient. So your letter may get read by someone you hadnt intended!

Why not call the company and ask for her?

Asking her out by phone is a lot more discreet than walking up to her in the workplace.

I think you are reading way too much into your little chat with this girl. It was in the company's interest for her to be nice to you and she had no reason not to. Her chat with you was a bit of diversion away from the job, and probably nothing more. I think you would need to get to know more about her before you ask her out. You don't even know if she is already married, or has a b/f. Sorry, OP I would not jump in here. You need to know more about her first.

I don't see why, he's probably not going to see her for a long time, if at all.

If he asks her out then he'll learn all he needs to know by the answer she gives him.

Go back and ask her out dont be one bit shy about it . If she has any interest at all in you she will agree to go out .
If not sure what harm being turned down , at least you will know

Disagree. What's the worst that can happen. She says 'no, I'm married'. And the OP walks out of there as fast as he can, feeling the eyes boring into the back of his head.....then as soon as he's round the corner, it's over. A minute or two of discomfort

    But maybe she says yes.

Easier just to ask then do loads of research (which is creepy in a stalking kind of way)
