    Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there was anyway to fix/replace a missing efs file on a samsung note 2? It was a present from a friend of mine (very nice of him). Before giving it to me he put on a new operating system and accidently deleted the efs directory (very silly of him). As far as I know there is no backup.

I know that the efs directory is specific to each phone, but I was wondering is there fix for this? I have tired the app RCII repair (I think it was called) but no luck.

Any and all help much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    rollie

Did he make any Nandroid back-ups??

There is an option, in TWRP Recovery anyway, to back-up efs...just a shot in the dark.

If you flash the ROM again will it fix the issue?

No backup unfortunately. I'm going to try a data recovery (like it was a usb) before I try anything else. I'll flash the ROM after that if I have no luck.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

It's a great phone so I really hope it's not bricked.
