I am due to start my internship now in Sept 2013 for 12 months; I have just completed my second year Computer Science degree at University. I have to complete this internship as it is compulsory.

I did have my internship sorted out last October, however the job role the company placed me in was support, and I was learning nothing, I was being ignored.

I had been placed in a new office that they had just opened, and the senior members of staff ( i totally understand that they had their own work to do) didn't have any time to spend with me.

Does anyone know of any company’s out there that are currently hiring internships for software development?
Is there any placements out there that would give me a mixture of experience, such as software development, and hands on technician?
