USPS delivery issue

tracking is not updating from 25.08. and an post is not recognizing the tracking number. is there any other company who is handling the USPS orders in ireland? should i contact the seller or leave it for more days.

its First-Class Package International Service - letter service - sended from Los Angeles. its not heavy and its a small item. so i wonder if anyone had similar experience. it cost me 58€ in total with postage. i though that once it reaches ireland it should apear on an post web site or something. but its been week sicne last update

USPS is usually handled to AnPost iirc but if its heavy express it might be GLS sot they would be the first two I would ask.

It might not be labelled correctly and stuck in customs here. Somethines things can get stuck there for a few days.

Im presuming you meant to say 25.07.2013 rather than 25.08.2013

so i will keep an eye in an post tracking. And i will contact local depot next week if nithing will show up. Thank yiu for respond Davy

Why would you contact An Post? - It the US Post system that has it. An Post will not have an iota of a clue to where your parcel is.

From LA, it has to travel though the US system to their international dispatch centre (Kentucky I think) and then onwards to Europe and then to Ireland and then through customs.


You need to contact the sender - only the sender can contact the US post service.

btw - 7-10 days is the normal delivery time from USA

First-Class Package International Service is the one of the slower options that the USPS is offering to Ireland and in my experience it can up to 2 weeks to show up in Ireland with the last USPS tracking being in Jamaica, NY.

In addition depending on the content it might be hanging in the AnPost International mail centre of customs processing which as Davy said can take days.

If you needed it urgently you should have paid the more $ to get it as Priority International Mail which takes approx. 6 days from the west coast to Ireland.

i didnt have the right to choose more faster post service as this was an ebay purchase and the seller have only one option there.

GUys guess what... it arrived today morning without further tracking .. when delivered tracking updated as delivered and it apeared on an post web site after it was delivered. postman said they have troubles atm and he had no scanning portable machine with him as well...

now the problem is .... THE EBAY SELLER stated wrong price on item docket and i was overcahrged the VAT. customes said they have to follow the docket and there will be no excuse..

what should i do? its like 50$ difference.. thats like 13-14€ extra... i paid 100$ shipping included. not 149.95 as seller stated.... jesus thats a lot of hassle with one item... i wish i knew this before.
