    Hi Folks

My swing has become way too flat and too narrow of late and it's costing me distance, especially with the driver.

Does anyone know of any drills that I can do to correct this?

    Many thanks.

    Regards

    Jack

An easy way is to have left your arm finish the backswing under your chin, like it slots in there, whereas the flatter plan feels stretched across your chest.

Repeat it in front of the mirror and check where you are happy, then keep grooving it. I unflattend mine, but still feel connceted and swing like a so called 'one planer', right elbow close close to my ribs, like Hogan recommended.

Swing with your bum almost touching a wall

Swing on a downhill lie where your feet point down the hill.
The side of a tee is good for this.

likewise to flatten your swing, do the opposite.

back to wall.. backside c. 3/4 inches from wall and do slow full swings.... use a cover or an old club as the wall does get hit. On the downswing if you cast you will hit the wall so it corrects you both ways ;)

    Me?

Is a two plane swing a Garcia-esque change?

No - My swing's just become way too flat.

well a one plane swing will be flat, so you should hit the wall behind you.

You need to figure out what type of swing you have, or at least are trying to do before you figure out what you need to change.

Stop on a full backswing and check your left arm (for a righty) it should be across your shoulders for a one plane, it will be above your shoulders for a two plane.

If you are connected, (left arm glued to left pec, right elbow close to rib cage at top of backswing) it's for argument sake a one plane, pivot based swing (lower body starts the swing), doesn't really matter if it's above or below plane, as the swing is the same, the only difference is the left arm either goes under the chin (above plane) or is strapped to the chest(on plane). The right elbow is still close to the rib cage pointing down.

You'll have to let the club flatten in the downswing if iyou bring it above plane, but that isn't your problem, and should happen naturally with good hip movement to start the downswing.
